My Learning Story / Poetic Art Hurumanu 4

 Malo Lelei ko hoku hingoa ko Loloma , koe ako kou alu kiai ko Hornby high school and and this whole term I've learned lots of Art and how to do it in what type of style I like. This Whole term we made amazing progress to get it finished in time and  we made this Art just to make our teacher proud and happy of what we learned from them and we learn just the right one .

Reflection:

What We Did:   
  • We based all of our learning on the two stories from Te Taumutu Purakau - 'Th Creation of Tuna' and 'Taniwha and the Rakaia Gorge'.
  • Tapa Cloth
  • Weaving 
  • Colouring water 
What I Learned: 
  • I learned how to make a Tongan Tapa cloth for the first time during school time .
  •  Weaving teached me something different from what Islanders do in the pacific .
  • Water colouring teached me how to splat, blend, salt, and dirp art.
My Favourite Part:
  • My favourite part is painting it with brown water and letting it dry and making it look really cool .
  • My favourite part is drawing our Maoir Art to add to it to make it look perfect just how it is .
  • My favourite part for water colouring is the splat and the blending it together with different colours. 
My Next Steps:
  •  To work hard on my drawing because it failing when I draw patterns
  • To listen well to Instructions so I make things right if I make a mistake  
  • Learn how to blend in well within the colours to make it look amazing
